Two Newly Passed Licensed Nurses Died The Same Day They Passed

Passing any board exam can bring joy and fulfillment to anybody's life. This also gives so much pride to the parents and family of those who passed.

But unfortunately, two nursing board passers from Cebu made everyone cry when they passed the exam. This are not tears of joy, as these two passed away in a tragic car crash in the dawn when the results were released.

Louis Mitchel Nayre Ferolin and Alexa Eddy Ceniza Carvajal are both new nursing graduates of Cebu Doctor's University (CDU). They also both took the Nurse Licensure Examination which was conducted in November.

The results were released on December 12. Tragically, that is the same day that the two died in a car crash that happened in Barangay Barrio Luz, Cebu City.

Based on the PRC website, Carvajal and Ferolin’s sequence numbers are 1368 and 2352, respectively.
The two were among the 5,875 out of 12,869 who passed the November 2017 Nurse Licensure Examination that took place in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tugegarao and Zamboanga.

According to SPO4 Ramon Budiongan from the Traffic Patrol Group,
Ferolin, 23, and Carvajal, 21, who were both natives of Mandaue City, died in a car crash at dawn of December 12 at Governor Cuenco Street in Barangay Barrio Luz, Cebu City.

Their car was being driven by Ferolin when it reportedly went out of control and hit the railing of a flyover.

Their university's Facebook page CDU College of Nursing Alumni Association posted their condolences and announcement of how the university is mourning the passing of Ferloin and Carvajal.
“Heaven gained 2 new RNs (registered nurses) today. Our prayers are with you and your families. RIP Louis Ferolin and Alexa Carvajal of Batch 2017,”
