LOOK: Lawyer reveals manifestation why the PH system sucks

Senators Franklin Drilon, Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Risa Hontiveros, and Bam Aquino, all blatantly known as affiliates and stalwarts of the yellow opposition, the Liberal Party. Having been linked strongly to the opposing political party of the Philippines, these LP senators had long expressed disagreement and deviation to almost all primary advocacies and strategies enforced and implemented by the new Duterte administration.

One, which was strongly opposed to by these LP senators was the declaration of Martial Law in the entire Mindanao region anchored on the major argument that Mautes are no terrorist.

Now, months after the Maute rampage in Marawi City concluded, various LP supporters basically, its forefront senators, had again expressed a deviating and contradicting point of view from that of the Duterte administration re the heightened campaign of president Duterte against rebels and terrorists, with CPP/NPA members recently added to the list.

In Atty. Bruce V. Rivera’s latest Facebook post, he nitpicked on this particular issue concerning the four abovementioned LP senators.

“Here are four Senators [referring to Drilon, Pangilinan, Hontiveros, and Aquino] who only go to Mindanao when it is peaceful, safe and usually during elections to campaign."

"And they get to decide whether or not Martial Law should be extended. Why should this system allow them to decide for Mindanao when they are not from the island. People in Mindanao know that the threat still looms and vigilance is still necessary. What pisses me off is that most of them were close to defending the rebels and now they make this call,” Atty. Rivera added warily.

Pointing out the “fictitious” claim of these Liberal Party affiliates to the then glaring Martial Law issue in Marawi, which had “slapped” these senators in the face, Atty. Rivera wrote how the Liberal Party does not fail to go against the desires and intentions of the government even when it puts their honor, dignity, and morale as government official in despair.

“Sinabi niyo dati na hindi kailangan ng Martial Law dahil hindi rebellion. Ayun, nasira ang buong Marawi. Ngayon, hihirit na naman kayo. Buti sana kung ang aatakihin ng mga rebelde ay mga bahay niyo lang.”

Conclusively sharing how these “inappropriate actions” of the prominent Philippine LP senators cause him to lost his temper, Atty. Rivera asserted that soon, as Philippines shifts into a Federal State of government, there will be no place for senators of Drilon, Pangilinan, Hontiveros, and Aquino’s ilk whom Rivera described degradingly as rags or “trapos”.

“Panginuon, pwede ba hindi ko na ito sila makikita sa susunod na gobyerno. Federalism will get rid of stupid decisions made by trapos who just think using colors. And you think they will look after our best interest in a ConAss… Umiinit na naman ang ulo ko,” Atty. Rivera ended.
