Janica Nam, Umani ng Maraming Batikos Matapos Ilahad ang Katotohan sa Pagkamatay ni Franco

Recently, Janica Nam Floresca had an exclusive interview to showbiz website Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) where she confessed the “true events” that happened during the drowning incident which took the life of her boyfriend and Hashtags member Franco Hernandez in Davao Occidental on November 11.

The grieving girlfriend shared her version of the story in order to clarify the differing statements of the two boatmen, Rico Igalan and Efren Kilang – the operators during their boating trip. She also corrected some statements given by Hashtags member Tom Doromal who was also with them during the incident. They both shared their version during an interview with the ABS-CBN morning news program, “Umagang Kay Ganda,” last November.Janica attested that their statements even contradicted Tom’s account of the events on his interview last November 19, on the magazine show, “Rated K.”Moments after PEP published the article, Janica Nam’s revelation already garnered different reactions from the netizens. There were a number of people who bashed her for stepping forward and allegedly clarifying the truth.

Some even accused her for wanting attention and doing the interview only for publicity, while some sympathized with her. Meanwhile, Franco’s mother Marissa Hernanded Lumanlan, commented on the post and added some details about the incident. Janica posted the screenshot of her comment on Facebook.

An excerpt from her post reads:

“Dinala lang sya sa bahay nila Tom dahil may nurse daw doon. Unfortunately doon sya namatay. Pero nagpumilit pa din si Nam na dalhin si Franco sa ospital dahil umaasa pa na marerevive sya. We are waiting for part 2 of this interview dahil hindi sinama ang paglalhad ng panayam nung pagkakuha kay Franco sa shore at dinala kela Tom. A very crucial part of the story.”

Many netizens called out bashers who insisted that Janica was only looking for attention. They also insisted not to tolerate any unsolicited advice about the performer’s untimely demise. According to Janica, even before they rode the motorized banca, she and Franco told their friend Tom that they didn’t know how to swim.

She got a bit emotional remembering the moment when she noticed Franco was having a hard time breathing after floating in the middle of the sea for about 30 minutes. She recalled, when they finally reached the shore, her beloved boyfriend was already unconscious.

Janica also attested that they were not given a life vest during their boating trip which contradicted to the statements of the two boatmen who said that they insisted to the group to wear a life vest.
