Manila Standard columnist burns Rappler journalist Pia Robles

Rappler Journalist Pia Ranada Robles more than she could chew was burnt to the ground by the Manila Standard columnist Jojo A. Robles.

In her post she arrogantly tagged Jojo and implied that he was “iyakin”. Stating that she’s been reading her death threats for over two years over breakfast.

"Hahahaha Jojo A. Robles. I cannot comment on your post for some reason so I'll just say it here. Iyakin? I've bee reading death threats and insults everyday for two years, over breakfast," Pia said in her post.

Jojo then replied and said,

“We don’t run crying to the KBP (Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas) for protection against imaginary hollow blocks. We write stories and let them do the talking for us. If “reading death threats” made you though, you wouldn’t make this any bigger than it is.”

He added that it only sounds like “Datu Puti journalism” and that she should just get a writ of amparo, stop fame whoring and actually do her job.

Pia then replied that she isn’t going to stop doing her job then proceeded to use RJ Nieto as an example of someone who thinks “writing critically about the government is a tantamount to a national security threat.”

Jojo ended their exchange with,

You still don’t get it do you? Ok, then. Just look out for flying hollow blocks on the way home. Nasty things those. I’m done with you. Keep riding RJ’s coattails. I’m not famous enough to make you as big as a star as you want to be. But make it a real story next time, is my request.

Jojo, besides replying, publicly posted their exchange, probably as a warning to those who dare to arrogantly cross him.

I don't normally "make patol" to the yellows, but i thought, what the hell. Just this once :)"

Writ of amparo - A supplement to the efficacy of habeas corpus, a petition that any person can avail, who’s right to life liberty and security is violated or threatened by an unlawful act or omission of a public official or employee, or of a private individual or entity.
