When Uson asked him about his first impression to Duterte, Seagal said that he is reserving his judgement until he made his own investigation about the Duterte.

I’ve been around for a long time and I’m smart enough to know that there’s such a thing as propaganda and politics around the world. From my friends in the Philippines and my friends in the government, I was able to get a pretty good understanding that a lot of words about him is not exactly the way it really is,” he said.

And so I wanted to reserve all my judgment until I did more investigating and got to know him and I think as I’ve said earlier what he’s done for the country is wonderful,” Seagal added.

The Hollywood actor also commented about the battle happened in Marawi City and gave a message to the troops who fought for the country.

"What he's done for the country is wonderful. I think that he had a tremendous problem, he’s lost a lot of soldiers and a lot of police officers too, terrorism and narco-terrorism and he has dealt with it in a very impressive way,” he said.

I'm gonna congratulate to guys for a job well done. Well done. , well done and I’m gonna come and see you guys and shake your hands,” he added.

The veteran actor expressed his love for the Filipino people who he referred to as his family.

I love you all, I’m honored to be here. We’re one big family and we’re gonna have a lot of fun and make the Philippines even more loved by the world because we’re gonna show the world what you really are,” Seagal concluded.
