Worries over Sen. Chiz heading Andres Bautista investigation because they have “history”

Social media personality RJ Nieto of Thinking Pinoy shared his concerns over a possible farce in the investigation of Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chief Andres Bautista because it will be handled by Senator Chiz Escudero, and they are known to “have a history together”.

Citing trusted, anonymous sources from the Senate and Malacañang Palace, Nieto discloses that Chiz permitted the COMELEC to transfer votes to Vice President Leni Robredo so she would have leverage over vice presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos.

Because of the controversial circumstances therein, Nieto says that a “major whitewashing” and less to no “hard-hitting questions” would likely occur throughout Bautista’s trial.

Should that happen, the public cannot be promised an objective and thorough investigation of the matter.

However, Nieto gives it the benefit of the doubt and leaves the results to the actual investigation.

In his full post on Facebook, he said,

"SENATE INVESTIGATION ON ANDY BAUTISTA A FARCE?

The inquiry on Andy Bautista issue will be handled by the Senate Committee on Banks, headed by Senator Chiz Escudero.

A couple of highly-placed sources (One in the Senate, one in Malacañang) told me that they expect a major whitewashing, since they all claim that Chiz and Andy "have a history together".

According to my sources, Chiz gave the Comelec the go-signal to transfer votes for him during the 2016 elections to VP Leni Robredo, allowing the latter to overtake Bongbong Marcos by a hair's breadth.

In short, my sources said Chiz cannot possibly ask Andy hard-hitting questions because Andy can spill the beans and implicate Chiz in this entire mess.

Let's see if this turns out to be true because. My sources have given me very accurate information several times before so I seriously doubt that they would lie this time."
